YosStop's Legal Battle Ends with Acquittal

After a legal process that lasted three years and five months, the influencer Yoseline Hoffman, known as YosStop, announced through Instagram the cessation of the accusations against her for child pornography and discrimination. The acquittal verdict in her favor came after being pointed out for a YouTube video titled 'Pathetic Generation' in which she mentioned sexual crimes against the young Ainara Suárez.

In the official statement from the Ruiz Durán SC Law Firm, it is detailed that a control judge from the Accusatory Criminal System of Mexico City decided to extinguish the criminal action, thus decreeing the dismissal of case 011/0771/2021. Additionally, a new investigation of the same facts is prohibited, and it is highlighted that Yoseline Hoffman Baduino has no criminal record.

YosStop was confined in the Santa Martha Acatitla Women’s Social Reintegration Center for five months after being detained at her home on June 29, 2021, and linked to the process on September 5 for child pornography. She was released on November 30, 2021, thanks to a reparative agreement between the parties, and the crime was reclassified as discrimination.

In her words during this process, YosStop offered public apologies to Ainara Suárez and commented on her experience in prison: 'I lost my freedom, I never would have imagined it... I went through a total catharsis.' After the ruling, she reflected on the case and expressed that she would use her voice to defend herself against slander and lies.

In the denounced YouTube video 'Pathetic Generation,' YosStop mentioned the case of sexual abuse suffered by Ainara Suárez in 2018, when the young girl was a minor. Ainara formalized the complaint against her aggressors and the influencer for possessing the video. In 2021, Ainara told the media that the entire legal and media process was triggered by having mentioned her situation.

YosStop expressed her gratitude to those who supported her, including her lawyers, her husband Gerardo González, and Marina Badui. She clarified that, although she recognizes that her forms of expression were not always the most appropriate, she was never legally accused of sharing, disseminating, reproducing, or storing any material.
